ACCOUNTANT

About the role

Presqua (M) Sdn Bhd, an established and reputable company in Alor Setar, Kedah, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. This full-time position will play a crucial role in the company's financial operations, contributing to its overall success and growth.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Reconciling bank accounts and other financial accounts
• Providing financial data and insights to support management decision-making
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing effective financial controls

What we're looking for

• A degree in Accounting or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a financial accounting or reporting role
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting standards
• Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
