Are you a highly driven and technically adept Automation Engineer who can design and deliver cost-effective, high-quality, and ergonomic automation solutions from concept to full machine completion—ensuring optimal performance and customer value while overseeing production processes, maintaining excellence in machine wiring and testing, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and serving as a key liaison across Distribution, Project, Purchasing, Production, and Service teams?
Responsibilities
Design and develop detailed electrical circuits, supported by sound engineering calculations and fundamental principles
Select and size electrical components to meet project specifications, ensuring compliance with technical and safety requirements
Prepare and maintain accurate electrical schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within project timelines
Implement and standardize control system architectures, including PLC platforms and automation frameworks
Develop machine programs, control logic, safety systems, and HMI interfaces in line with project requirements
Perform machine startup, testing, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning on the production floor to ensure optimal performance
Provide on-site support for machine installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance when required
Update and manage electrical documentation in PLM systems, ensuring manuals are revised and completed post-FAT
Prepare installation guidelines for outstanding electrical and automation work after FAT
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for machine designs
Provide technical support to Production and assist Service teams in diagnosing and resolving customer issues
Build and maintain a centralized database of electrical designs and standard programs for reuse and continuous improvement
Drive process improvement initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance efficiency, quality, and business performance
SpecialRequirements
Extensive experience in developing machine electrical panels and control systems from concept to full machine completion, utilizing engineering calculations.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in original equipment manufacturing (OEM) or maintenance.
Hand-on experience in PLC programming, particularly with Beckhoff TwinCAT (experience with Siemens and AB is a plus), including function blocks and relevant methodologies.
Proficient in using ePLAN P8.
Solid understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and basic knowledge of ERP software for daily operations.
