Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife for their Obstetrics/Gynecology department in Rome. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare management, utilizing advanced physical examination and medical history skills, and collaborating with other health professionals to design individualized care plans. Responsibilities

  • Assess health status utilizing advanced physical examination and medical history skills, and design individualized health care management plans in collaboration with other health professionals.
  • Manage health care within protocols mutually agreed upon by physician and team members.
  • Identify abnormal findings early and initiate appropriate intervention.
  • Assess and provide support for the cultural, psychosocial, language and physically challenged needs of the family unit.
  • Provide health care management, functioning within the guidelines of the Nursing Practice Act, the Medical Practice Act, other regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as a role model/clinical resource in all aspects of job performance and human relation's skills.
  • Demonstrate appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, find the ability to prioritize and concentrate.
  • Assess own practice needs, as well as those of the other members of the health care team, and develop methods to meet those needs.

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $54.90 - $82.35
  • Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training
  • Premium pay such as shift, on call, and more based on a teammate's job
  • Incentive pay for select positions

Shift & Schedule

  • Full time
  • 40 Hours Per Week
  • M - Th 8a-5p/Fri. 8a-1p

Requirements

  • Completion of a MSN and graduate level Certified Nurse Midwife Program required.
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and approved to practice as a Nurse Midwife in the state one works required.
  • BLS required per policy guidelines.
  • 3 years experience in labor and delivery preferred.
