Initiates emergency care as needed.</li><li>Provides individualized teaching and counseling utilizing the nurse-midwifery philosophy.</li><li>Identifies deviations from normal, and consults, co-manages, or refers as appropriate.</li><li>Completes necessary documentation.</li><li>Participates in quality improvement projects, research, and continuing education activities.</li><li>Instructs and supervises midwifery students and other learners as assigned.</li><li>Prescribes medications, treatment modalities, and durable medical equipment as indicated by health condition.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
