We are looking for a skilled and proactive Clinical Biomedical Engineer to oversee the management, maintenance, and safe operation of medical equipment within a clinical setting. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring hospital technologies function reliably, safely, and in compliance with healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, calibrate, inspect, and maintain a wide range of medical devices and diagnostic equipment
Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot technical issues in real-time
Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, service logs, and compliance documents
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper usage and understanding of medical equipment
Evaluate new medical technologies and assist with procurement and installation
Ensure all equipment meets safety and quality standards in accordance with regulatory bodies (e.g., ISO, FDA, CE, local health authorities)
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or related field
1–3 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting (internships considered)
Hands-on knowledge of imaging systems, patient monitoring devices, infusion pumps, ventilators, etc.
Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and medical device regulations
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and respond to urgent equipment issues
Bonus: Certification in Clinical Engineering (CCE) or Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET)
