Cloud Migration Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Migration Engineer to lead and execute complex migration programs across cloud platforms and legacy environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in AWS, Azure, and hybrid infrastructures, combined with hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end migration lifecycles - from discovery and design to cutover, hyper care, and decommissioning.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Cloud Migration Execution
• Drive large‑scale lift‑and‑shift migrations and replatforming initiatives across AWS and Azure.
• Provision infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates) .
• Execute cutover strategies including DNS swing, downtime approvals, vulnerability assessments, and hypercare support.
• Implement data migration approaches : backup/restore, snapshot replication, batch/live sync, and database dumps.
• Legacy & Hybrid Migration
• Assess and migrate workloads from on‑premises data centers to cloud, ensuring compliance and performance.
• Support legacy application modernization while maintaining business continuity.
• Manage hybrid integrations across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and legacy systems.
• Security & Compliance
• Enforce cloud security posture management : private endpoints, identity modernization, micro segmentation.
• Conduct VA/WA scans and ensure compliance sign offs before production cutover.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to remediate misconfigured or non‑compliant resources.
• Operational Support
• Provide SME support for secure data exchange platforms (e.g., GoAnywhere, SFTP/SMTP gateways).
• Handle BAU provisioning requests including onboarding, patching, and decommissioning.
• Work closely with application, AD and OT teams to align migration plans with governance standards.
• Collaboration & Governance
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to design and present migration strategies.
• Ensure governance alignment with enterprise standards and operational boundaries.

🛠️ Required Skills

• Cloud Platforms : Expert in AWS and Azure migration strategies, landing zone design, and service repatriation.
• Infrastructure as Code : Strong proficiency in Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation.
• Migration Tools : Experience with Azure Migrate, AWS Application Migration Service, AWS DMS, Azure Site Recovery.
• Data Migration : Skilled in large‑scale storage migrations (Isilon, S3, Blob storage) and replication strategies.
• Security & Identity : Knowledge of Azure AD modernization, IAM governance, private endpoints, and microsegmentation.
• Legacy Systems : Experience migrating workloads from on‑premises data centers and legacy applications.
• Operational Tools : Familiarity with secure data exchange platforms and enterprise file transfer solutions.
• Collaboration : Ability to work with multicultural teams and present strategies to senior stakeholders.

• 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and migration projects.
• Proven track record in enterprise‑scale cloud adoption and hybrid/on‑prem integration.
• Strong background in identity modernization and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
