Job Summary:
Progressive Technology is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient IT Support Technician specializing in Desktop and Network Support to join our dynamic team in Noida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-tier technical assistance, resolving IT-related issues, and ensuring seamless operation of desktops, networks, and associated systems. This role demands a strong foundation in IT infrastructure, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first and second-line technical support for desktop hardware, software, and networking issues.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security updates.
Manage and support user accounts, permissions, and email systems.
Maintain inventory and documentation of IT assets and technical procedures.
Troubleshoot printer, scanner, and peripheral device issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system outages and network downtimes.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Ensure data backup processes are completed and verified regularly.
Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades and support rollouts of new hardware/software.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in desktop support and basic network troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11), MS Office Suite, and standard enterprise software.
Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.
Understanding of IT security principles and antivirus/malware tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to technical issues.
Experience:
1–3 years of hands-on experience in a similar IT support or helpdesk technician role.
Experience in supporting mid-sized to large enterprise environments is a plus.
Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Standard business hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST
Occasional weekend or after-hours support may be required based on system needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Deep understanding of end-user computing environments.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network problems quickly and efficiently.
Adaptability to rapidly changing technologies and a fast-paced environment.
