About the internship
Medinex Workforce matches a large number of candidate profiles to client roles, and much of that matching still depends on manual judgement. We want to find out where a model can help: ranking profiles against a requirement, predicting which candidates are likely to join after an offer, or flagging roles that may take longer than usual to fill. In this internship you will work on questions like these, from raw data to a trained and tested model, and learn how to defend a result with numbers instead of guesses.
What you will do
- Collect, clean and preprocess recruitment data for model training
- Engineer useful features from raw fields such as skills, experience and location
- Train classification, regression and clustering models using Scikit-learn
- Compare different algorithms and record what worked and what did not
- Tune model parameters and check for overfitting and bias
- Measure performance with metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall and F1 score
- Package simple model demos so the team can try them out
- Document notebooks and experiments so others can repeat your work
What we are looking for
- Good working knowledge of Python, including Pandas and NumPy
- Understanding of core machine learning concepts and common algorithms
- Comfort with basic maths and statistics
- The habit of running experiments and improving results step by step
- Clear written English for documentation
- A laptop and stable internet connection for full-time remote work
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Scikit-learn
- Exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch
- A Kaggle notebook, GitHub project or certificate
Who can apply
- Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (CS, IT, Maths, Statistics), MCA, M.Sc or related streams
- Self-taught learners who can show a project or certificate
- Freshers are welcome, and prior experience is not required
- You must be available full-time for the internship period
