A Bit About Our Team The Income Tracking team acts as a specialized revenue assurance unit in APAC within the broader global publishing administration function, aiming to maximize royalty payments to songwriters and producers. They are responsible for verifying, analyzing, and collecting income from Performance Rights Organizations (PROs), Digital Service Providers (DSPs), record labels, and other licensees, specifically identifying cases of non-payment or underpayment of royalties.

Purpose of Role The Income Tracking Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Warner Chappell Music’s publishing income across Asia Pacific and global markets. This position will provide administrative and operational support to the publishing functions, focusing on income tracking, dealings with the societies, external partners, third party partners, overseas affiliates, and suspense research.

The role is central to safeguarding revenue flows and maintaining alignment with WCM’s global catalogues and strategy.

This role reports directly to the Director, Administration APAC based in Malaysia and the Head of Global Income Tracking based in the UK.

Team Collaboration

  • Lead and manage a team of two in the Asia Pacific region, overseeing upskilling training onboarding, workload management, and OKRs reporting
  • Strengthen team productivity by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Develop succession plans and ensure cross-training across responsibilities to build resilience and agility.
  • Deliver regular reporting and weekly operational progress updates to regional & global leadership.
  • Work in partnership and collaboration with affiliates offices, APAC region and Global income tracking teams, and stakeholders in the region to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • To Identify and make claims for shortfalls in income across territories.
  • Liaise with counterparts across all affiliate offices, PRO/CMO, DSP and sub-publishers to ensure income flows are in line with expectations and resolve any interruptions or discrepancies.
  • Address and resolve affiliate income queries efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the global Income Tracking teams in the EMEA and US to resolve issues and proactively prevent future collection challenges.
  • Align internal processes with the Global Income Tracking teams and WCM strategy.
  • Work closely with the regional Publishing Administration teams to strengthen income collection processes.
  • Support ad hoc projects or publishing admin tasks as required from time to time.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in income/revenue tracking, including 2-3 years with supervisory/people management responsibility. Experience in other music publishing administration functions or within a PRO can be considered.
  • Proven ability in managing multiple income streams, such as digital, live, AV, radio etc.
  • Strong understanding of Performance Rights Organization, international collection society structures, and their licensing/distribution processes.
