POOL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Job Summary The Pool Maintenance Technician role performs various physical and monitoring duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the pools and spas.

Compensation $18.00 - $22.00 Hourly – Depending on experience and certification (CPO).

General Accountabilities

Inspect pool at the start of shift per Daily Pool Inspection Report

Use Daily Pool/Spa Chemistry Log Sheet / Color Q or Taylor test kits

Report any safety issues with equipment to supervisor prior to start

Clean the scum line where the water meets the pool wall

Backwash Filters as required to clean filter and perform water exchange in pool

Clean all equipment at the end of the task and store

Check all entry / exit gates for proper operation, must close and latch every time when released

Check all emergency equipment for proper location within pool area

Check that all signage is in place and legible

Document all pool chemical levels on Daily Report Sheet Complete chemical readings daily

Pool water should glisten and sparkle with the sun shine and waves, good sign that the pool chemistry is in balance

Clean, wipe down, align and straighten all tables, chairs, and loungers

Check the floor for excess water and mop if necessary. Be sure to use “Slippery when Wet” signs during and after mopping

Skim pools daily

Brush/scrub pool and spa walls/stairs must at least 3x per week

Pool deck, lounge chairs and breezeway must be scrubbed/power washed daily

Vacuum pools and spas daily

Performs on-call emergency service, as required

Inspect all sidewalks in and around Clubhouses & pools, remove crack weeds and spray

Make sure no smoking is allowed in the pool area

Position duties and work schedule may change according to business needs at any time or as instructed by management.

Minimum Education: High School or GED

Minimum Experience: 1 Year
