Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient intake processes remotely, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately for each patient
  • Assist healthcare providers with basic clinical tasks like medication administration, specimen collection, and X-ray coordination when applicable
  • Support physicians and nurses with documentation related to ICD coding, anatomy knowledge, physiology details, and medical terminology to ensure precise recordkeeping
  • Manage patient communications by answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing pre-visit instructions in a professional manner
  • Facilitate inpatient and outpatient care coordination across various specialties such as geriatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and Geriatrics
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center standards when supporting emergency or trauma-related cases

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting medical teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, outpatient clinics, or similar settings
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures
  • Prior experience working with EHR systems and managing patient data securely and efficiently
  • Knowledge of hospital experience including Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately in a remote setting
  • Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, X-ray coordination, inpatient care processes, and clinic operations is advantageous

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
