Position Overview
Location: San Jose, CA and surrounding areas (commute flexibility is essential)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (varies, averaging 6 hours/day)
Employment Type: Per diem to full-time opportunities available
RN Pay: $40–41/hr
Start Date: August 2026
Setting: In-person
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate care for students with chronic health conditions such as asthma and diabetes
Monitor immunization records and maintain compliance with state regulations
Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or illnesses
Support emergency preparedness planning and drills
Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
Communicate with families regarding student health concerns and follow-up care
Perform duties requiring standing, walking, sitting, bending, crouching, and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds
Qualifications
Active California RN license
BLS certification
Current negative TB test/result
Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
