Safety & Health Officer (SHO)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To ensure compliance and to promote a safe conduct of work.
• To perform regulatory responsibilities prescribed in the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations.
• To achieve the objective of protecting fellow workers from works hazards.
• OSH legislations • Occupational risk assessment
  • Preparation of safe operating procedure
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of control measures
  • Encouraging worker’s participation; and Continuously improving to ensure sustained compliance to OSH law.

• Perform workplace inspection in reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the programmes implemented to reduces the accident/incident, unsafe act/unsafe condition at the site.
• Work closely with relevant authorities, such as Department Occupational safety and Health (DOSH), and Environment on matters related to HSE.
• Ensure all the machinery policies, procedure and instructions are comply with DOSH regulations.

• Registered with DOSH as a Qualified Safety & Health Officer with a valid Green Book.
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering (Environmental / Health / Safety) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience in the related to power plant construction or manufacturing or occupational safety and health field.
• Station at Cogeneration Plant, Port Klang
• Contract basis 12 months

License/Certification

• DOSH Green Book (Required)
