Key Responsibilities
Transcription Excellence: Convert radiology dictations—including mammograms, ultrasounds, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging modalities—into clear, concise, and compliant written reports.
Chart Management: Update electronic health records (EHR) with critical data such as breast density, follow‑up dates, surgical notes, and physical exam findings.
Quality Assurance: Review, edit, and proofread drafts for accuracy, grammar, and adherence to industry standards (e.g., MQSA, HIPAA).
Collaborative Clarification: Engage with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to resolve ambiguities, confirm terminology, and ensure report completeness.
Confidentiality & Compliance: Safeguard patient information, uphold ethical standards, and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Workflow Optimization: Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet stringent turnaround times without compromising quality.
Continuous Learning: Stay current with evolving medical terminology, radiology protocols, and transcription technology to enhance accuracy and productivity.
Essential Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a medical reputed company, preferably within radiology.
Proficient use of transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon Medical) and advanced word processing tools.
Typing speed of 70+ words per reputed company with a high degree of accuracy.
In-depth knowledge of radiology terminology, imaging modalities, and standard reporting formats.
Strong understanding of medical ethics, confidentiality, and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, MQSA).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with at least one major EHR system (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Medical Transcription (e.g., Certified Medical reputed company, CMT) or a related diploma.
Experience with advanced imaging software and PACS integration.
Background in obstetrics or gynecology imaging.
Knowledge of quality metrics and audit processes in medical transcription.
