The Senior Sales Training role is designed to onboard and develop new sales representatives supporting phacoemulsification training across Bausch + Lomb’s Retina and Cataract surgical businesses. The Phaco Training Specialist will provide structured training, mentorship, and hands-on support to ensure new hires gain technical knowledge, procedural confidence, and selling skills required to support surgeons, clinical teams, and customers in the field. Key Responsibilities <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Deliver comprehensive phaco training programs for new hires supporting retina and cataract, including product knowledge, surgical workflow, procedural terminology, and consultative selling strategies.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Facilitate classroom sessions, virtual learning, hands-on wet labs, and case-based training to reinforce phacoemulsification knowledge and procedural proficiency.</li> <li style="line-height:115%;margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Guide new hires through the first 90–180 days, ensuring smooth integration into retina and cataract territories and alignment with field expectations.</li> <li style="line-height:115%;margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Accompany new hires on customer visits to model best practices in surgeon engagement, OR etiquette, and retina and cataract customer interactions.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="line-height:115%;margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Provide real-time feedback and coaching during live case observations, product demonstrations, and phaco-related training activities.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="line-height:115%;margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Monitor progress and create individualized development plans to accelerate performance.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Maintain strong working knowledge of phacoemulsification systems, cataract surgical workflow, retina-related procedural environments, and associated surgical technologies.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="line-height:115%;margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.</li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Bachelor’s degree required</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Minimum 3 years of experience in the cataract surgical space with focus on phacoemulsification demos, troubleshooting, optimization of sales and/or training on equipment</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Strong presentation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Ability to travel extensively for training and field support.</li> </ul> Preferred Skills <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="line-height:115%;margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Experience mentoring or training sales professionals.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="line-height:115%;margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Ability to build trust and motivate new team members.</li> </ul> This position may be available in the following location(s): near major airport within USA. For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between [$130,000.00 and $160,000.00]. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. They may also be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, disability and life insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, a tuition reimbursement program (select degrees), company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
