Angel City VA is looking for a WordPress Web Designer to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a modern, responsive, and brand-aligned websites using WordPress and elementor. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for visual design, including typography, spacing, and solid development skills. This is a full-time remote position working U.S. Eastern Time (EST/EDT) hours. <br><br><strong>Schedule: </strong><br>-Full-time, 40 hours per week <br>-Working hours aligned with New York (Eastern Time) <br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:   </strong><br>-Design and develop custom WordPress websites using the Elementor page builder <br>-Create responsive, mobile-friendly designs with strong visuals   <br>-Design web page mockups in Figma or a similar design application <br>-Developer and implement custom page templates and layouts  Maintain and update existing websites, including content updates. <br>-Ensure cross browser and cross device compatibility <br>-Make timely modifications to website pages and structures based on department needs <br><br><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications: </strong><br> -2-4 years of experience building and designing WordPress websites<br> -Expert-level proficiency with Elementor  Proficiency with Figma or equivalent design tools <br>-Strong understanding of responsive web design principles  Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript <br>-Familiarity with technical SEO (page speed, schema, meta tags) <br>-Reliable internet connection and ability to work in EST hours    <br><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong> <br>-Experience with social media graphics or content <br>-Familiarity with SEO link-building concepts <br><br><strong>How to Apply: </strong><br><br>Submit the following: <br><br>-Your resume. <br>-A ​​​​​​portfolio link showcasing your design and development work. <br>​​​​​​​-​​​​​​​Links to 2-3 WordPress sites you are most proud of. <br><br><strong>Portfolios will be evaluated primarily on visual design quality, typography, spacing, and overall design, not just functionality. </strong>
